这是雪山的“雪”字。可是你知道吗？“雪”这个字实则和“山”是没有任何关系的。这个字下半部分“彐”并不是一座翻倒的山，而是一只手的意思。（凡是带“彐”的汉字，实则都和手有关。）
“雪”字的商代甲骨文形状，上半部分表明“雨”，下半部分表明“羽毛”，超级形象地展示了天空下起鹅毛大雪的场景。它的小篆形状，分了三部分，最上面部分表明“雨”，中间部分表明“羽毛”，下面部分表明“手”，形象地展示了天空中下起鹅毛大雪，人们纷纷用双手接住雪花的浪漫场景。在后来的简化字，把中间的“羽毛”去掉了，变成了目前的样子。
古人造字，近取诸身，远取诸物，充满了丰富的想象和联想。而“雪”这个字更是为我们描绘了天空中下起大雪人们纷纷用双手接住雪花的浪漫场景。真是多么美妙呀！
This is the character “雪” (snow) for “snow – capped mountains”. But do you know? In fact, the character “雪” has no relation to “山” (mountain) at all. The lower part “彐” of this character doesn't mean an overturned mountain, but means a hand. (All Chinese characters with “彐” are actually related to hands.)
The shape of the character “雪” in the Shang Dynasty oracle bone inscriptions, the upper part represents “雨” (rain), and the lower part represents “羽毛” (feather), vividly showing the scene of heavy snow like goose feathers falling from the sky. Its small seal script shape is divided into three parts. The top part represents “雨”, the middle part represents “羽毛”, and the bottom part represents “手” (hand), vividly showing the romantic scene of goose – feather – like snow falling from the sky and people catching snowflakes with both hands one after another. In the later simplified characters, the “羽毛” in the middle was removed and it became what it is like now.
The ancient people created characters by taking examples from their own bodies nearby and from various objects far away, full of rich imagination and association. And the character “雪” even more depicts for us the romantic scene of heavy snow falling from the sky and people catching snowflakes with their hands one after another. How wonderful it is!
